Abstract painting is abstract. It confronts you.
There was a reviewer awhile back who wrote that my pictures didn’t have any beginning or any end.

He didn’t mean it as a compliment, but it was.

This is why I LOVE abstract expressionism. It does confront you. It forces you to see something totally unique to you. It elicits emotion and confusion perhaps.

I even love the arguments “well anyone can do that” in response to some abstract paintings. Well not everyone IS doing it. And it elicits a reaction from the viewer.
